Quick Mask > Refine Selection.. slow, choppy, no preview..

As title.

 

I do a QM, then Refine Selection. Select options and then 'Foreground Adjustment Brush'.

 

As per screen shots, 3 things;

 

1. I click on the red Mask area, SOME of it is removed where I move my mouse, most is not.

Then 'refine Selection' modal dialogue box appears - which takes several seconds.

2. Then the area I drew over does fully disappear, correctly.

 

3. Frustrating that when moving the mouse I cannot see what area I am actually refining in real time - so it is hit and miss, thus of no use to me.

 

I even made the image ridiculously small to see if it assisted the rendering, but same problems..

 

Thoughts?
