Staff MEB Posted November 9, 2016 Staff Share Posted November 9, 2016 Hi jamesroy, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) The CR2 format is a RAW format from Canon cameras. It will open automatically in Develop Persona in Affinity Photo. To be able to save it you have to click in the blue Develop button on the top left of the interface to convert it/move to Photo Persona where you can save it as a native Affinity Photo file (.afphoto) or export to any format you want (Tiff, JPG etc). jamesroy
Thanks for the speedy reply. I have many images. Can I batch import and does Affinity create it's own library.
Staff MEB Posted November 9, 2016 Staff Share Posted November 9, 2016 Affinity Photo doesn't manage libraries. It's a RAW converter/developer and photo editing app only. We will have a DAM (digital assets manager) application later too. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
jamesroy
Darn I'm I'm looking for a good catalogue manager to replace Apple Aperture. I'm looking ad Adobe Lightroom but don't need all the photo effect that most of these 3rd party app's offer, since I can do all that in Photoshop. Any recommendations?
