Newbie question, can open PSD file but can't see text

Hi Joe,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

The text is there but it's misplaced (outside the canvas). I'm passing this to the dev team to be looked at.

 

Meanwhile to be able to access the text objects, select the Artboard Tool then in the context toolbar, press Insert Artboard. Select the layer 1 in the Layers panel, and zoom out so you can see the document and a large portion or the pasteboard area around. The text objects are on the top left. You can then drag them/reposition on canvas again and delete the artboard (selecting it in the Layers panel and pressing Delete on your keyboard). Select Keep objects otherwise they will be deleted as well.

Ah, I see. I was following what looks like an out of date Affinity Designer Vimeo video:

I can follow what you mean now. Although the formatting is all wrong (text on text) and it doesn't look like the Mac preview that I showed at the start of the video and how the PSD looks in photoshop.
