Adron Posted March 16 Posted March 16 In Affinity Publisher: I want to be able to duplicate / copy and paste objects like text frames or image frames but sometimes instead of duplicating in place it places the new object slightly above and over a tiny amount - something that I have to transform each time I do this. This slows me down because I like to copy certain contents from one frame into another and most times when they place in the new frame they are shifted a slight amount causing me to have to manually re-align each frame to where they were originally. Is there a setting to stop this? The ideal action for me would be when I copy and paste an object it places it exactly in the same location as the original - not moved slightly. Adron Posted March 16 Author Posted March 16 Note: It does not do this all the time - but it happens frequently on text frames with effects and image frames with rounded corners. The fact that its semi-inconsistent has been annoying to try and diagnose... Quote
iconoclast Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Hi Adron! Try Ctrl+J to duplicate (Power Duplicate). Or if you need more duplicates at once, click on what you want to duplicate and press "Enter" to open the Move/Duplicate dialogue panel. Enter the Values you need and press OK. Adron 1 Quote
Adron Posted March 16 Author Posted March 16 Thank you! I'll just start using Ctrl+J from now on. Quote
