Hi! A few days ago I tried to install the Segmentation model in Photo 2.6, but after clicking Install, i realized that the WiFi my laptop was connected to was far too slow for the ~300MB download (i was at a hotel). So I tried to cancel, but nothing happened. I needed to get work done, so i force quit the app, and resumed working on my photos as i normally would.

Now, I am back home and wanted to install the models again. However, the settings page says they are both installed, and i cannot uninstall them (pressing the button does not do anything). The tools that use these models obviously do not work and prompt me to install, which i cannot do either, that button is greyed out. I have tried uninstalling Photo from Windows settings' Apps section, then installing again with the MSIX installer from my Licence & downloads section. Also tried holding CTRL while starting Photo and resetting everything (including deactivation). After restarting and activating, Machine learning models remain non functional, but they are still in the installed state according to Affinity Photo settings.

Photo 2.6.0 stable
Windows 11 24H2 26100.3476

Any help is appreciated, I'm willing to do basically anything except a full Windows reinstall.
While I cannot resolve this issue, I will be using the beta version of Photo 2, where i could successfully install and use both ML models. Altough I consider myself a technical user, and do not mind regularly using beta software, I would prefer to return to the stable version as soon as possible.

Hi @matyas1and Welcome to the Forums,

Sorry for the delay you've had in getting a reply.

If you are still having this issue, can you do the following:
With Affinity closed, call up the Windows Run Box by holding down the Window key and tapping the letter R.  In the run box enter:
.affinity

Then click okay and a folder will open.  Now open the Common folder, followed by ModelCache.  If you have any files in the ModelCache folder, please delete them.  Now start up Affinity and you should be able to reinstall the Machine Learning tools again.

The above steps are for the MSIX install.  If you've switched back to the MSI version, then enter the following into the run box:
%appdata%\Affinity\Common\2.0\ModelCache

Then delete the contents of that folder.
