Color Sampler Interference with Paintbrush using Pencil

How do I disable the sampler that takes over from the brush at random times when using the pencil, apparently when the screen is touched at two points at the same time?

I have yet to find a single time where this is desired behavior. It's hugely destructive and undermines basic activity by not brushing and instead changing the color when not desired at all. This is a mess.

Maybe you used the „official“ gesture to sample a new color while brush ist active

• long press ich one finger, than drag
• or you activated the command controller, „option“ key by accident which is an alternative way to sample colors.

all those gestures are „build-in“ and not adjustable as far as I know.

So how do I turn it off? This is an anti-feature that activates without intent.

You can’t deactivate these gestures.

To find out what triggers the issue:

1. create a test file without sensitive content
2. activate „show touches“ in settings
3. make a screen record until the issue happens
4. save the recording
5. and the file (save with history)
6. check the seconds in the video and the document history panel.
