AsherAtStrongAI Posted February 6 Posted February 6 How do I disable the sampler that takes over from the brush at random times when using the pencil, apparently when the screen is touched at two points at the same time? I have yet to find a single time where this is desired behavior. It's hugely destructive and undermines basic activity by not brushing and instead changing the color when not desired at all. This is a mess. How do I fix the mess? Quote
NotMyFault Posted February 6 Posted February 6 Maybe you used the „official“ gesture to sample a new color while brush ist active long press ich one finger, than drag or you activated the command controller, „option“ key by accident which is an alternative way to sample colors. all those gestures are „build-in“ and not adjustable as far as I know. https://affinity.serif.com/en-us/learn/photo/ipad/ https://resources.serif.com/spotlight/learning/shortcuts/Affinity-Photo-2-Gestures-iPad.pdf Quote Mac mini M1 A2348 | MBP M3 Windows 11 - AMD Ryzen 9 5900x - 32 GB RAM - Nvidia GTX 1080 LG34WK950U-W, calibrated to DCI-P3 with LG Calibration Studio / Spider 5 | Dell 27“ 4K iPad Air Gen 5 (2022) A2589 Special interest into procedural texture filter, edit alpha channel, RGB/16 and RGB/32 color formats, stacking, finding root causes for misbehaving files, finding creative solutions for unsolvable tasks, finding bugs in Apps. AsherAtStrongAI Posted February 6 Author Posted February 6 So how do I turn it off? This is an anti-feature that activates without intent. Quote
NotMyFault Posted February 6 Posted February 6 You can’t deactivate these gestures. To find out what triggers the issue: create a test file without sensitive content activate „show touches“ in settings make a screen record until the issue happens save the recording and the file (save with history) check the seconds in the video and the document history panel. Upload the relevant portion of the video and the file so we can check, too Quote Mac mini M1 A2348 | MBP M3 Windows 11 - AMD Ryzen 9 5900x - 32 GB RAM - Nvidia GTX 1080 LG34WK950U-W, calibrated to DCI-P3 with LG Calibration Studio / Spider 5 | Dell 27“ 4K iPad Air Gen 5 (2022) A2589 Special interest into procedural texture filter, edit alpha channel, RGB/16 and RGB/32 color formats, stacking, finding root causes for misbehaving files, finding creative solutions for unsolvable tasks, finding bugs in Apps.
