LukeBeatrice Posted Saturday at 09:20 PM Posted Saturday at 09:20 PM I am a full time artist looking to move away from Adobe due to their generative AI policies. I’m looking for software that doesn’t scrape my work to train generative AI and doesn’t include generative AI features. What is Affinity’s stance on this issue? What are their generative AI policies? R C-R Posted Sunday at 01:08 AM Posted Sunday at 01:08 AM We have been told that while there will be some use of AI for subject identification in AP, this will not be based on anything 'scraped' from user work, nor will there be anything that generates content using AI technology. This subject identification technology is self-contained, meaning it does not 'phone home' to a server, & because of that uses a lot of disk space so it will be an optional download you do not have to install or use. luxBorealis Posted Monday at 10:49 PM Posted Monday at 10:49 PM Do we have a definitive statement from Serif about this? Has there been any direction given since Serif Affinity was acquired by Canva? I’m curious because I, too, do not want ot go down the GenAI pathway. Quote
