I have a suggestion on how to quickly and efficiently convert images to a different color profile. This is useful for catalogs and magazines, where a designer might receive a large number of images in PNG format and needs to convert them to the CMYK JPEG profile.

You can do this all at once by using the standard method—New Batch Job, where all images are converted to the new profile simultaneously. However, the issue arises with file extensions .PNG and .JPG, as you cannot simply copy -replace them because the extension prevents it.

If there were an option to ignore file extensions (JPG and PNG) when copying and linking images, you could complete this process in a single step. This would save a significant amount of time, especially in magazine production, where you may be handling 50 or more images.
