When I copy a Arial text from word into affinity which contains hawaiian symbols, it changes automatically into wrong wording. I checked different fonts, same result.

Example: Na One on Hualālai that calls the open vent “tube” (Halliday, 1989b).

Changes in Affinity into: Na One on HualŌlai that calls the open vent ōtubeö (Halliday, 1989b).
How to solute this automatically, not by hand!!!

Hi @laurens.smetsand Welcome to the Forums,

Which operating system are you running Affinity on?

When i try this on MacOS, if i copy that line of text from Word into Affinity, i get the same results as you.  However, if i copy that line of text from TextEdit into Affinity, it pastes correctly.
