TamaraD Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Hi everyone, I wanted to double-check the settings I'm using when exporting PDF files for print, as I've recently made some changes. When exporting, I always click "More..." option and uncheck the "Subset fonts" option under "Embed fonts" (which is set to "All Fonts") as I've read leaving this checked may cause the text on the exported PDF to appear differently. P.S. I also uncheck "Allow advanced features" option. The change I've made recently is to uncheck the "Standard Ligatures" option under Typography so that the characters like "f f" are displayed with spaces between them instead of being joined. My questions are: 1. Should I still leave the "Subset font" option unchecked when exporting or does turning "Standard Ligatures" off changes anything? 2. Is it okay to have "Standard Ligatures" checked for some text and unchecked for others? For example, if I use Nunito Bold with Ligatures enabled and Nunito Regular with Ligatures disabled within the same document, would that cause any issues? I've tried reading about ligatures and glyphs but still find it a bit confusing. I'd appreciate any insights or advice! Quote
Staff Callum Posted January 30 Staff Posted January 30 Hi Tamara, Apologies for the delayed response, I would recommend still leaving subset fonta off for the time being. In regards to your second question that shouldn't cause any issues. Thanks C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
