Hello Affinity, I have an issue with how document's tabs organize themselves when the space available cannot display all those tabs at once.

Lets say I have 10 documents opened (name from 01 to 10 in this specific example).

At first, those documents' tabs are displayed in order but because there is a lack of space to show all of them at once, few are hidden within a select menu on the right hand side.

Now, each time we select one of the file from that select menu list, it moves to the left hand side. After only few clicks, the original order is all messed up and keeps changing. That's a bit annoying because I constantly search for the right tab. It messes up my brain buffer.

Here is my suggestion:
Why not letting us scroll those documents' tabs horizontally while hovering this area? So no select menu and no tab shifting :-)

Note: Blender's most header menus behave exactly that way. It also uses the middle button mouse to scroll horizontally.

You are already using that "hover + scroll" in so many places and it's very convenient.

Does that make sense or there is something I am missing here?
