In Affinity Designer 2, layer elements can be infinitely grouped, as well as the issue of empty groups in the layer column. Can we optimize it? It's too frustrating to frequently delete empty groups in our work.

Where are these empty groups coming from?

Are you creating them or are they there when you import another document etc?

It was my manual habit of "command+G" and repeated operations that resulted in infinite grouping, and finally had to clean it up. Is there a check restriction that does not allow me to perform multiple operations, which will be considered invalid, and only one grouping will be retained. Adobe and CDR do not have such issues.

I don't think there is any way to stop you from doing "command+G" multiple times and there is no automatic way to clean up when you do so

All you can do is remove the "command+G" shortcut and instead use the menu option Layer > Group when you want to group objects
