Importing PDF with Bookmarks into Publisher 2

I am trying to compile a large PDF made from other PDFs. One of these PDFs had been a Word document that was exported to PDF with bookmarks. I would like to open this PDF in Publisher 2 and have the bookmarks as well. How can I do this?

Ideally, the bookmarks would retain their fidelity from before they were imported into Publisher through to after they are again exported as part of a larger PDF.

As far as i'm aware PDF bookmark import isn't supported, these can only be generated on export using either Anchors with the Bookmark flag checked or auto-generated from a Table Of Contents created via the TOC panel, more info below.
