I guess this is based on the same flaw/bug as with the Expand Stroke issue, introduced in v2.5 and not fixed yet: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/search/&tags=AF-3206 (Which is why I'm sticking to v2.4.2 for productivity work, using only current beta releases for new features experiments… ) As a workaround, I'd expand the stroke first, then convert the affected nodes to Smooth, and "Smooth Curve" via the context toolbar buttons; it may take multiple button clicks to get good results though. (Which is why I bought VS in the first place: to have a tool handy for tasks where Affinity fails. ) VS and Affinity can coexist pretty well side by side: when copying a stroke with variable width in VS, it will be converted to an expanded curve on the fly and can be pasted directly into Affinity. In fact it so simple curve that it is easier and quicker to draw leaf using pen I use stroke width tool to this draw leafs in illustrator because it work quicker and easier than using pen. But in case that I should correct many nodes maually it don not have sens. loukash 1 Quote
