Now, where do I see them, how do I activate them?

Hello @Home15 and welcome to the forums.

Most add-ons can be found in the Windows versions under Help -> My account.
On the Mac, this entry can be found by clicking on the program name in the menu bar.

However, there are also add-ons that contain content that must be downloaded via the Store.You must be logged into the store to do this.
These can be found under Downloads & product keys.

Downloaded and installed add-ons can be found in the respective categories. The special feature of brushes is that there are some for Affinity Designer that are intended for the vector area and some that appear both in the Pixel Persona of Designer and in Affinity Photo.
