Antony John
Recently purchased Photo V2. Having run the MSIX installer proceeded to start setting up the software but found that Setup/Performance Enable OpenCL was not available for my Quatro K620 graphics card. Checked the drivers under K620 properties (Win 10) and both OpenCL 32 and 64 bit were listed. Cut a very long story short, I finally went into the graphics setting on Windows 10 and tried to add Photo 2 to the list of software, but I couldn't locate the EXE file for Photo 2. Long story short: Did a web search with little success, other than finding others have had similar problems with OpenCL Looked in the documentation and found that MSIX 'hides' EXE files Uninstalled Photo 2 and used the MSI (64bit) installer. Out of curiosity, opened Photo 2 and checked the performance setting. Voila! Photo 2 now recognised that OpenCl was available and was already set to use it, no other 'tweaking' necessary 🙂 Seems that 'hiding' the EXE (as MSIX seems to do) causes complications in detecting other software/drivers for some reason. So this topic is more for information than a 'bug report', other than there does seem to be a 'bug' when the MSIX installer is used. Hope it is of help to others. Komatös
Hi @Antony John and welcome to the forums. MSIX programs run in an isolated process, in a so-called sandbox. This has advantages but, as you have found out, also disadvantages.
