How do I select more than one curve at a time?

Recommended Posts

I've created a couple of curves and now I want to join them.

When I googled for how to do this, I found this tutorial:
https://logosbynick.com/join-curves-in-affinity-designer/

However, the operation he describes doesn't work for me.
I'm using Affinity Designer on a mac.

Clicking and dragging would select too many objects. I want to select two specific objects.

If I hold down shift and click on two objects, the second object is selected and the first object is deselected.

The same pattern applies if I select a third object: the previous selection is cleared and only the third object is selected.

You cannot join two closed curves. Are your curves open ones like in the video?

After poking and prodding, I think that this is an issue with my hardware.
So yeah. Not an Affinity Issue.

I'm using a Huion Kamva tablet and pen.
If I use a mouse instead of pen, the issue doesn't occur.

When I google, it seems that Kamva users have been describing issues related to 'shift+click' since about 2018.
It seems to be recurring. Huion has responded to it's users at least once and updated drivers accordingly.
But also Kamva users have been describing issues related to 'shift+click' after these updates.

So not an affinity issue.
But this post might be useful for other Kamva users who discover issues related to the 'shift+click' key combination.

Thanks.
