I suspect that this may be a Mac question as much as an Affinity question :)

I have my blue rectangle. I want to apply a linear gradient fill, white to blue, which just happens to be the colours in the gradient menu box (do these things have official Mac names?). I don't want to make any changes, I just want to apply it to my blue rectangle. I've tried reading the Help, but it tells me what the gradient fill can do, not how to get it to work! I was hoping to just drag the pointer across the rectangle like I could in DP......................

Advice, please!

Also, I didn't really want a linear fill, I wanted a plasma fill (milky white clouds in a blue sky and all that), but there isn't an option - is there?

I've just found the Gradient tool in the toolbar - the tooltip takes about 4 seconds to appear, at first I thought it wasn't working/relative to what I was doing.

UPDATE - just tried the radial fill on a cog and that has worked perfectly.
