Farmer Fred Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 I use a drone for mapping farmland. The drone takes a few hundred photos that are uploaded to a third party. They stitch the photos together for a map and send it bask to me in a TIF file. In opening the file using a MAC the default App is Preview. Preview can open the file and I can see the map, but the instand I click on anything, Preview locks up. It was suggest that Affinity might be an answer. So I downloaded the trial and then tries to import the 900MB Tif fils and after a few seconds Affinity sends a message the the file type is not supported. I thought Tif files were common. Perhaps Im doing something wrong? Running a MAC with the M1 chip and 16GB of memory. What to do?
Hangman Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 Hi @Farmer Fred and welcome to the forums, Could you upload one of the 900 MB stitched TIF files so we can take a look at what the problem might be... Can you also let us know the third-party software you're using to stitch the drone phones together...
