JCEyre Posted September 19, 2024 Posted September 19, 2024 I'm using Publisher 2.5.5 on Windows 11. I created an index for a 275-page book. Under my topic/entry "positive" the program lists instances of both the word "positive" and the word "position." I see what it's doing, and for other words (institute/institution; indicate/indicator/indication; generate/generator;) it's appropriate -- but not for these two words. Is there a way to separate them out so that I can still use the "use 'All' entries" feature, so that updating the Index adds new instances of the word? Thanks to all for any help with this. Quote
MikeTO Posted September 19, 2024 Posted September 19, 2024 No, you could need to deselect them manually. IMO, there should be a toggle for this feature because it can be annoying. I think it's a feature because it would have taken more work to make it function this way than to only exactly match, but it's not a documented feature. JCEyre Posted September 19, 2024 Author Posted September 19, 2024 Thank you. IMO, ideally, the feature would include the ability to turn it off for selected words... position/positive being such a case. Quote
