Hi Guys,

I am german, so please excuse my bad english.

At first, I was using Adobe InDesign for about 12 years right now.
And i love it to use custom shortcuts. the most important shortcut for me is the [ESC] for the Selection Tool (Which is V as default in InDesign, and its the move tool in publisher)
I'm testing the Publisher right now, and as soon as i want to assign the [ESC] for the Selection Tool, the shortcut Window is closing.
Is there any way to assign the [ESC]-Key for a tool?

Why the [ESC]-Button for the Selection tool?   Because, this button is just as an Cancel-Button in my head,
so assining the selection Tool with the [ESC]-Button makes totally sense for me.

Oh, i am working on windows 11, latest version of affinitiy 2 publisher.

Thank you in Advance.

Hallo @HofNarr und willkommen im Forum.

ESC ist die allgemeinübliche Taste (in Windows) um Aktionen abzubrechen. Und die meisten Firmen halten sich daran, außer, Adobe.

ESC is the standard key (in Windows) for canceling actions. And most companies stick to it, except Adobe.
