Delbert Grady
Hi, I have an old iMac early 2009. I bought Affinity photo a while back and it has worked fine. I recently wanted to convert HEIC files to JPG. I did a batch conversion and everything worked perfectly. I immediately tried again with another batch, from the same source folder, and Affinity quit. I tried several times more with a batch of just two photos, or just opening a single photo, but any operation beyond opening causes i Affinity to quit. I tried restarting the iMac, and also 'factory resetting' Affinity. In the end I pulled Affinity into the trash and went to the Apple-store to re-install Affinity, but that version is not available. The iMac does not have the minimum requirements for V2, nor has the previous attempts of V1 updates been successful. I know that this version on this iMac works, it is just a puzzle why Affinity within minutes of successfully doing a task, suddenly decided give up. Any ideas, beyond the obvious solution of buying a new IMac and new version of Affinity? Thank you
walt.farrell
Welcome to the Affinity forums, @Delbert Grady. You can still install V1 of the Affinity apps you have licensed from either your Mac App Store account or your Affinity Store account, depending on which you purchased it at. You won't find V1 directly in either Store, though, as it's not available for sale. So you need to install from your account.
