china
Hello teacher, can the iPad version of Publisher 2 use the Data Merge Manager? How to use fields by importing external table data, like the data merging function on the Mac version
walt.farrell
Welcome to the Affinity forums. No, Data Merge is a function provided only on the desktop. From https://affinity.serif.com/en-us/publisher/full-feature-list/: Quote Data Merge (for desktop only) The implementation requires creating and opening a new document which is difficult to manage on the iPad. That's probably also why the Book function isn't supported on iPad either. Wishart
This would be an amazing addition to the iPad Pro version. Just a thought

It would, yes, but given that it requires having two documents open at once it's a difficult thing to implement on the iPad. In any case, this is the Questions section of the forums, and if you'd like to see this happen you'd need to post in the Feedback section where Serif looks for product suggestions Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU.
