Fix needed for the feature that enables adjusting values with the cursor

Recommended Posts

There's a feature that allows users to adjust property values by clicking on a property label and dragging the cursor right or left. Unfortunately, there is an issue with the Affinity's implementation of this feature that doesn't let me use it. When the cursor reaches the edge of the screen, the adjustment stops because the cursor can't move any further.

I wish the developers would address this issue and make the cursor stationary (and invisible) during adjustments like it's made in Apple Motion:

The same thing happens on Windows.

I’m fairly sure that this has been mentioned in the forums before, but I’m not sure if it was reported as a request or a bug.

Edit: Here’s one similar request (which you have posted to): https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/58426-drag-updown-on-a-text-fields-to-change-values/

Additionally, it would be better to change the adjustment direction from right-left to up-down like in the video above. This way, the feature would feel more intuitive and pleasant to use.

I think it works intuitively already as it works like dragging a standard slider.
