fishbloodstiffs Posted July 2, 2024 Posted July 2, 2024 I am new to Affinity Photo, after being a PS user for 7+ years. Now in PS I can auto add copyright info I.E my details to the metadata to an open document, existing document etc. Is there a way of doing this in Affinity Photo 2 please? Instead of having to do it manually to every manipulation I do. Quote
h_d Posted July 2, 2024 Posted July 2, 2024 Hi @fishbloodstiffs and welcome! There's a Metadata panel under the Window menu in the Photo Persona which isn't open by default. If you open it, you can add IPTC, rights information and more. You can then use the 'burger' drop-down in the same panel to export the metadata: Next time you open an image, choose Import from XMP, navigate to your saved XMP file and choose to Open it, and the same rights information will appear in the Metadata panel. Save the new file, rinse and repeat. Similar arrangement in Develop Persona. Add: for more info search the Help for 'Metadata' walt.farrell 1 Quote Affinity Photo 2.5.3, Affinity Designer 2.5.3, Affinity Publisher 2.5.3, Mac OSX 14.5, 2018 MacBook Pro 15" Intel.

In ps as soon as I open a document even if it is blank the copyright metadata is automatically there embedded. This incorporates a script that starts as soon as a document is opened which activates an action that imports the copyright metadata info without me even having to think or worry about it. I was just wondering if there was a way to do that in Affinity Photo without having to manully import or do anything but just open a document. Quote
