wonderings Posted June 21, 2024 Posted June 21, 2024 Is there an option to override a Master Page? In Indesign you can right click on the page and select override Master/Parent Page. This will make everything editable on that page, also kills that Master Page functionality for that page. It has its time when it can be useful. Quote
fde101 Posted June 21, 2024 Posted June 21, 2024 Right-click the master page layer in the Layers panel and choose Edit Detached. Any objects from the master page can then be manipulated, and the properties you modify become detached from the master page, so that they are local (overridden) for the page you are on. Objects you don't touch remain linked to the master page. Note that switching to another page turns this off. You can also access the setting on the context toolbar after selecting the master page layer, but only if the Move Tool is active. It is in the context menu regardless of which tool is current. Quote
