Photo 2.5.2, Mac Monterey 12.7.5. HW acceleration on. It happened once, as of now.

Since I have to work on multiple documents at the same time (the ones I'm editing, and the reference ones) I tried to simulated the Mac UI. Therefore, I dragged the reference documents out of the app frame, and made them floating ones.

I created new documents on the go. Edited, copied and pasted between documents.

I closed a document I no longer needed. Just that one.

The reference documents in the flowing windows disappeared. Their windows closed. Couldn't find them in the View > Views submenu.

I'll let you know if it happens again.

(Ah, how I would like if Affinity used the beautiful, practical, fast Mac UI and its native floating windows! Yes, some of us can multitask in real life!)

On a second thought, maybe I inadvertently closed the floating windows with the Cmd-W shortcut, without even being aware of it. I may have been sure I was closing the document I was working on, and the action had effect on the floating windows.
