I'm editing an imported SVG. It's generally going well but I have 4 letters on one layer which I want to edit separately. I can't ungroup them or find any way to make them separate objects. WHat am I missing?  I did try searching but I'm not sure I have the right terms:

Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, @Bridawg. :)

Go to the Layer menu and click on ‘Geometry’ to display a submenu that includes a ‘Separate Curves’ option. When you choose that option, you’ll find that the curves which are separated out include the counters (‘holes’) in the middles of the letter shapes, so you’ll need to select each affected letter shape together with its counters and use the ‘Merge Curves’ option (also on the ‘Layer > Geometry’ submenu) to reconstruct the letter.
