Dorin Vaughn
I can't get all three programs to load quickly from the desktop. It takes about 20 to 30 seconds to load. I tried several double click speed clicks, still takes a long time to start. This applies to all three apps. Not sure if it is something that I am doing wrong or not. Now if I click on them from withing windows apps in start menu. My regular apps start up quickly. I also dragged them to the desktop from start menu and they started quickly. These are the non beta versions 2.50 that work quickly. But only the Beta versions have this problem. Thanks.
GarryP
Welcome to the forums @Dorin Vaughn To clarify, are you having this problem with: only the current beta release of the software; only the latest commercial release (2.5.2) of the software; both the current beta release of the software and the latest commercial release (2.5.2) of the software? Dorin Vaughn
No, it started a couple of updates ago. Don't remember which one. Thanks.
GarryP
I updated my earlier question (not realising that you would reply so quickly) as it was a bit vague. If you could answer the revised question then that would help.
Dorin Vaughn
only the current beta release 2.5.2.2486 of the software My commercial software is Version 2.50. When I just started my commercial software says there is an update to 2.5.2.2486. Should I update my software. Also I am using the MSI/EXE installer if that helps. GarryP
Thanks for the clarification and extra information. Problems that are only with the beta software should be reported in a relevant beta-specific section of the forums. That puts them in the right place for people working with the beta to find. If a moderator sees this then they might move the thread for you so there’s no need to duplicate it. Whether you want to update from 2.5.0 to 2.5.2 is entirely up to you. Personally I waited until 2.5.2 to update from 2.4.2 as I had read about various problems with 2.5.0 and 2.5.1. Whether it was a good idea for me to update to 2.5.2 I guess I’ll find out. My general recommendation is: If you are in the middle of something important then don’t update the software. If you are not in the middle of something important then read the forums to see what problems have been posted about the new version and use your own judgement of your own situation as a guide to whether you should update or not.
