Publisher freezing when deleting pages

I'm using Publisher 2, latest vesion 2.5 (downgraded to 4.2. due to this issue)

Problem happens in the file attached. It does not however happen when I open this file in the previous version (4.2). What happens is, when I try to delete some pages, the program doesn't exactly freeze, but I can't select anythong, or save or do anything. I can still scroll through the pages, I just can't do anything. This also happens if I try to navigate through the document by double clicking on the page in the pages panel. It also happens after a minute or two of me rearanging the panels with text.

As far as I've seen, this doesn't happen in a new document. I managed to delete pages on the iPad app no problem. My operating system is Windows 11, problem happens with and without hardware acceleration.

I can't duplicate the problem on macOS, so both it and iPadOS work okay, it's just a problem Windows.

You might want to try installing the 2.5.2 beta - doing so won't impact your 2.4.2 installation - and seeing if it works in that version.

It must be a resource issue as there are missing linked resources.
These linked resources are located in your OneDrive(cloud) folder and when the connection is lost the affinities cannot find them and this is the cause of your problem.
Make the files linked but in a local folder not controlled by OneDrive or any other cloud or external storage option.

Thank you for trying. But does this explain, why the problem doesn't happen in 2.4?
