Here is a small and obvious feature where Canva.com and Affinity can merge a bit – at least exchange palettes.

There was once a palette tool in Serif DrawPlus that never made it into Affinity. It was a bit more advanced than this tool at Canva. Canva’s tool is quite isolated from Canva's mail product, and the export palette to PDF goes through the browser's print to PD, a lousy implementation. So both Canva.com and Affinity can be improved.

I recommend that Affinity implement this (or its good old from DrawPlus) color harmony palette tool in Affinity, and that the palette can be exchanged with Canva. Conversely, from the same page at canva.com, one should be able to export an Affinity palette and a PDF file directly. And whatever else can be integrated directly.

You get the general idea.

Serif, did you foolishly fill the usability specialist role you advertised internally? If so, be transparent with your customers. Continuing without proper UX expertise both insults and affects your entire customer base.
