Language issues with Character panel and Edit Text Style

Hyphenation language in Edit Text Style

In 2.4, Character > Language > Hyphenation and Edit Text Style > Language > Hyphenation: both list the installed hyphenation dictionaries

In 2.5, the former still lists just installed hyphenation dictionaries by the style equivalent now lists the spelling dictionaries and not the hyphenation dictionaries. For example, if I set Romanian for my hyphenation language while editing a text style but don't have its hyphenation dictionary installed, then the Character panel will later show me "Unknown (ro)".

Typography script and language - Character panel

In 2.4, Language > Typography Script and Language showed me just what was relevant to the selected font. For Arial, there was Auto and five choices for script and Auto, Default, and one choice (Lithuanian) for Language.

In 2.5, the same controls show me every typography script and language in the word, they are no longer filtered. Shouldn't they still be filtered?

Typography script and language - Edit Text Style

In 2.4, editing the default Base group as an example, showed the same choices for typography script and the same for typography language, plus the addition of Urdu which was a bit odd.

In 2.4, if I then changed Base's font from Arial to No Change or to any other font, the Typography Script and Language lists were no longer filtered and showed every language in the world. Once you did this you were stuck with the longer lists.

In 2.5, typography script and language are never filtered. Was this on purpose?

This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
