Achteraf aanpassen van marges

Recommended Posts

The text frames are not selected in this screenshot so I can't determine if they are on the master page or on the document page.

Go to a document page and click on one of the text frames. If it has "X" handles in the corners it is on the master page but if it has square handles in the corners it is on the document page. If you created your text frames on each page then changing them on the master page will have no effect.

Tomorrow I will get your book on Affinity Publisher.

I had only created text boxes on the stencil pages. Then used PLACE to read text into the document pages.

I will have to repeat this procedure many times. So I will continue working on it tomorrow.

Thank you for responding.

Greetings!

Good morning MikeTO,

I managed to solve the problem thanks to your suggestions. For which my heartfelt thanks!

Only this: on the screenshot that I enclose herewith, you can see that Affnity Publisher puts the text from page 4 only on the right-hand side of the booklet. How is this possible?

I am sure you know the cause. Would you please explain to me one more time what I am doing wrong?

Perhaps you used AutoFlow?

If you draw text frames on the left and right sides of a master page but do not link them, and then paste a lot of text into the frame on a right-side page and use AutoFlow (Shift + click the Text Flow Out control), Publisher will flow the text only into right-side frames. If you link the frames on the left and right sides of the master and use AutoFlow, Publisher will flow the text into frames on both sides of the page.

If you've done this for hundreds of pages it would be easier to delete them and do it again, but if you just have a few pages you can fix it manually. First, fix the master page so it doesn't happen again - link the left frame to the right frame. Second, assuming the blank left page in your screenshot has a text frame from the master page, click the Text Flow Out control on the text frame on the previous right-side page to start linking frames and then click anywhere on the frame on the left-side page - Publisher link will add that page in between the two right-side pages.

Here's a quick video showing the problem and solution.
