Resource Manager relinking/replacing from cloud sources not working properly in Affinity Photo iPad V2.4

Recommended Posts

Good afternoon Affinity enjoyers! Worked on an .AFPHOTO last night on my Windows 11 PC that contained linked assets and saved it to my OneDrive. All assets were saved to my OneDrive and linked via a C:/xxx file path. Of course, as iPads don’t use that type of file path, I was not surprised when the links all became broken when I opened the file on my iPad the next day. *However,* relinking these files using the iPad’s files app and navigating to OneDrive does not work. Nothing happens and the file remains unlinked. Using the Replace function also does nothing.

I moved all of the asset files and the .AFPHOTO file to my iCloud Drive to see if it was a OneDrive problem. Again, relinking the file does not work. From here, only *replacing* the file will work, which is not my desired operation, plus I would prefer to work out of my much more spacious and versatile OneDrive.

Specs are as follows:

File initially created Affinity Photo 2.4 on Windows 11 PC, i5-10400, RTX 3070, 16GB RAM

Issue experienced on Affinity Photo 2.4.0.2301 on iPad Pro 12.9” 5th generation 256GB, iPadOS 17.3.1

Let me know if I can supply any further information, thanks!

@tycho5ive I don't currently have OneDrive setup to test with, which is something I can do once back in the office. I did a similar test using iCloud and got a similar result when trying to update the resource on iPad. Once I closed the doc and reopened the resource did update.
