apply levels to only one image in multi layered file

Recommended Posts

How do I adjust a single layer with levels, curves etc ?

When I  launch levels it adds a layer above the image I want to adjust and changes all the layers underneath.  I only want to adjust this single image layer in this 8 image composite.

Im new to Affinity, Iv used PS since its beginning.

Hi garybart,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

Just drag the Adjustment layer over the image or group layer in the Layers panel to nest it. Nested adjustments only affect the layer/group they are nested to.

If you go to menu View ▸ Assistant Manager you can configure how do you want the adjustment placed in the layer hierarchy: as a child of a selected layer or as a new layer.
