Asset icons are too small and/or hard to see

Recommended Posts

Some assets are very hard to see. I know it doesn't have to be this way because in Pageplus I never had this problem using identical assets.

There seem to be three main issues:

1) The icon shows only a portion of the asset

2) The icons are too small

3) Dark objects are hard to see. (I shouldn't have to switch between light and dark modes just for this...)

For example, look at the asset below. This has an arrowhead at the other end of the line, but you can't tell. (In fact, it's hard to see there's a line there at all unless I turn my screen brightness up).

Please could this be addressed?

Thanks,

The following options are available from panel preferences:
[…]
Background — allows you to set the background color for the panel. This is useful for better in-panel assets preview.

MacBookAir 15": MacOS Ventura > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // MacBookPro 15" mid-2012: MacOS El Capitan > Affinity v1 / MacOS Catalina > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // iPad 8th: iPadOS 16 > Affinity v2

I think the other two points are still issues though!

Fair enough. The panel UI is still not the "greatest achievement" of the Serif UI team (even though there are even worse offenders in Affinity… :/)
I don't use the Assets panel much, but my preferred setting is as list, checkerboard background.
