I may come across as a cunning person who doesn't want to pay for what I receive from Affinity. However, that is not the case.
I used the 30-day free trial of Affinity Designer to learn and familiarize myself with the software before making a purchase decision. Due to time constraints, I couldn't download all three Affinity software at once to use the free trial. I thought that after using the 30-day free trial of Designer, I would still be allowed to use the free trial of Affinity Photo because they are two different software and I had never used or even downloaded Photo. However, today when I tried to activate the free trial, my account could not activate the Photo free trial because I had used Designer. I also want to try Photo and Publisher before deciding to buy Affinity's Suite. So, in my case, can I create another account to use the Photo free trial since I have never used the Affinity Photo free trial before?
Thank you for your support.

Hi @TodayIBought3Umbrellas,

Welcome to the Affinity Forums :)

I can see from your Affinity ID that you've previously 'purchased' the Affinity V2 Universal License trial, however the only activated (and subsequently expired) trial showing on your account is for Affinity Designer V2, as you've mentioned above.

I can confirm that each Affinity app can be licensed/trialled separately, meaning you should be able to install and run Photo, entering your Affinity ID details to begin the trial on your device, even if you have previously trailed Designer from the Universal License trial on your account.

Can you please verify for me, are you seeing notification that your trial has expired or already been used on the Affinity Store when trying to sign up for a new Universal License trial - or are you seeing a warning within the Affinity Photo V2 app directly when entering your Affinity ID details, that your trial has already expired?

If you're able to provide a screenshot of the exact wording you're seeing and where, I'm sure we can assist further.

Many thanks in advance!

Hello @Dan C, thank you to the Affinity team for assisting me. After reading your confirmation reply, I tried logging out of my account and then logging back in. I immediately activated the 30-day trial of Photo 2.

By the way, I have a question: since this is just a clone email for participating in online activities rather than my official work email, after the trial period expires, if I use my real email to purchase Affinity, can I install and use the software normally on this computer that had the trial installed but with a different email?

Once again, thank you for your support, and I apologize if I have caused any inconvenience.

No problem at all, I'm glad to hear this!

That shouldn't be an issue at all, simply you will need to deactivate the Affinity apps before the trial has finished. This can be done manually fromĀ Help > My Account, or alternatively you will be offered the option to use a different Affinity ID once the trial expires if you aren't able to launch the apps due to the trial already expiring.

You will then be prompted to enter your Affinity ID with your purchased licence to continue using the apps - the fact you've previously used the app as a trial under a different email address on this device should be perfectly fine :)
