Isfahan Posted February 7, 2024 Posted February 7, 2024 Hi there, After updating my IMac on latest Sonoma (or whatever the name) Affinity apps don't load and I only get a black page. What am I supposed to do? I have tried unistalling the app and installing it again but the problem remains. Any clue? Thanks. Barbara
v_kyr Posted February 7, 2024 Posted February 7, 2024 Basically it helps more if you would name which concrete Affinity app here and if a v1 or v2 one. - However try to reset the app to it's defaults, for a v2 one try out ... ... for a v1 one do it this described way ... ☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan ☛ Affinity V2.3 apps ◆ MacOS Sonoma 14.2 ◆ iPad OS 17.2
MikeTO Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 Is it possible you pressed Tab? Pressing Tab hides the user interface resulting in a black screen (in dark mode) if a document isn't open. Launch Affinity and if you don't see the interface press Tab. Cheers Download a free PDF manual for Affinity Publisher 2.6 Download a quick reference chart for Affinity's Special Characters MacBook Pro (M4 Pro, Tahoe 26.1) and iPad Air (M2, iPadOS 26.1)
Isfahan Posted February 27, 2024 Author Posted February 27, 2024 Hello everybody, thanks for your replies and support. I could solve the problem. Somehow, after updating, the view mode was set to blending out all the tools and functions, so I was just seeing a black square.
