Affinity App on MACos after Sonoma update doesn't load

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

After updating my IMac on latest Sonoma (or whatever the name) Affinity apps don't load and I only get a black page. What am I supposed to do? I have tried unistalling the app and installing it again but the problem remains. Any clue? Thanks. Barbara

Basically it helps more if you would name which concrete Affinity app here and if a v1 or v2 one. - However try to reset the app to it's defaults, for a v2 one try out ...

... for a v1 one do it this described way ...

☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan
☛ Affinity V2.3 apps ◆ MacOS Sonoma 14.2 ◆ iPad OS 17.2

Is it possible you pressed Tab? Pressing Tab hides the user interface resulting in a black screen (in dark mode) if a document isn't open. Launch Affinity and if you don't see the interface press Tab.

Cheers

Hello everybody, thanks for your replies and support. I could solve the problem. Somehow, after updating, the view mode was set to blending out all the tools and functions, so I was just seeing a black square.
