Tee Gee Posted December 26, 2023 Posted December 26, 2023 (edited) I am using AFPhoto 2.3 and Beta AFPhoto 2.3 When trying to export an AFP into a PSD, the first export works well (see good export). All attempts thereafter show just a white screen on the export window (see blank screen). If I cursor across the blank export window from side to side, it's like a paint brush exposing the correct export (see paintbrush). The only way to export another PSD is to quit the application and re-open the app again. Edited December 27, 2023 by Tee Gee More Accurate Quote

Staff NathanC Posted January 3, 2024 Staff Posted January 3, 2024 Welcome to the forums @Tee Gee, I'm using a very similarly specced Mac to yours and i'm not observing this export preview behaviour on export to PSD, so I have a few follow up queries below: Is the preview issue just limited to PSD? Is it the same on new documents or is it file(s) specific? Can you provide a screenshot of your Performance Settings (Settings > Performance)? The Export preview shouldn't really have any affect on the actual exported file, have you tried exporting again a second time to see what happens? Quote
Tee Gee Posted January 3, 2024 Author Posted January 3, 2024 It appears the preview issue only affects exports from any supported file types to PSD, on the second attempt. The first attempt never has an export issue. This includes opening a PSD and exporting to a PSD, new origination as well as existing. When the issue is present, AF will still perform the export, so this is only affecting the preview window. However, I do like access to the preview and hope this can be fixed. Tee Gee Quote
Staff NathanC Posted January 3, 2024 Staff Posted January 3, 2024 Thanks, could you confirm if it has any impact if you untick Hardware Acceleration and change the 'Display' setting to OpenGL in the Performance Preferences? Be sure to close the interface and restart the app first before trying again. If it has no impact, could you possibly send me a copy of one of the .afphoto or .PSD files you've observed this issue occurring with? Many thanks Quote
Tee Gee Posted January 3, 2024 Author Posted January 3, 2024 While this goes against common expectations, this has fixed the export issue. AF even opens faster and loads/imports faster. Thank You! Tee Gee Quote
