Masking used to be so easy

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I just upgraded to 2.0 of everything, and now I can no longer mask. It used to be so easy to drag a layer under another layer. Now, I drag the icon image from one onto the icon of the other and both layers disappear.

Sorry to be obtuse, but can someone explain what I'm missing?

thanks

The result of masking is very much dependent upon what you are masking and the mask you are trying to use on it.

Would you be able to record and share a video showing us what happens?

If not, would you be able to share a full-screen screenshot, just before you drag the mask layer, where we can see the ‘mask layer’ selected in the Layers Panel and indicate which layer you are dragging it to?

Hmmm... Today it works as expected.

Yesterday I went and made the document in a version 1 app, using the exact same process with the exact same elements (an image and a rectangle as mask). Today, the exact same elements I couldn't get to work yesterday in Photo 2 work as expected. So, nevermind, I guess.

Thanks for the reply
