I've been experiencing font-related issues in Affinity software where certain fonts appear distorted or aren't recognized correctly, leading to problems with rendering in my designs. I've checked font installation, but the problem persists. I believe there may be compatibility conflicts. Can anyone provide guidance on troubleshooting font compatibility in Affinity and ensuring smooth font rendering? Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Could you provide a screengrab and ideally a sample file showing the issue you're seeing with regard to fonts appearing distorted?

When you say some fonts aren't recognised, can you be a little more specific, do you mean they appear with a ? before the font name in Affinity apps or that they are recognised in Affinity apps but don't appear correctly on screen or that they don't export correctly?

Are there specific fonts where you're seeing these issues or is it affecting all fonts? Are the fonts in question static or variable fonts?

Are you on Mac or Windows and which Font management software are you using?
