User78
Hey, everybody! I have a simple question. When I open an SVG file and edit the layer I need, I want to save it with CTRL+S (or CMD+S on a Mac), but Affinity Designer offers to save it in its own format. I don't want to go into the export menu every time. I have thousands of files to edit, and it's terribly inconvenient. However, I've noticed that I can easily open a PNG file, edit it, and save it with CMD+S. Is there a setting or a way to minimize these extra steps when working with SVG files? I'd like to open an SVG, delete a layer, and save it with CMD+S - that's it. How can I achieve this?
walt.farrell
You can't. There's a special accomodation in the applications for PNG, JPG, and TIFF files that will allow Open, edit, and then Save. But for other files you must use Export.
