Hi there, friends! I am finally getting ready to put together my table of contents. However the font that occurs when I do so is very unusual and bizarre. You can take a look at what happens here:

I've tried to change the font to something more normal – but it seems to be intractable to font changes. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you so much.

It looks like the formatting used in the TOC is applying a Stroke to the text – this would make the text look like ‘marshmallows’.

Try looking through the Character Styles used in the TOC to see where that could be.

See attached video showing what happens when the Stroke is manually removed.
