Affinity Photo Crashing and Not Responding

Recommended Posts

Hello i have been trying to use Affinity photo V1 very unsucessfully for the past 3 months it just crashes  or restarts continually and have not been able to finish any projects at all, i have reset me computor completely to factory settings twice now thinking it is the computor but still having this problem, is this a ploy to force customers to upgrade to version 2, I am 77 years old and only occasionally have to edit and do art work now which doesnt warrant me purchasing the new version.

Hi Peter,

I'm sorry to hear V1 has been crashing for you I can assure you this isn't any sort of ploy. When is it you are finding the app crashes is it on open or when using a specific feature etc? It might be worth disabling Open CL in the apps performance preferences as this might solve your issues. Failing that its also worth updating/reinstalling your GPU drivers and reinstalling the latest version of the .NET framework from Microsoft as that can typically solve problems like this.

Thanks
