Inserting a single page in a facing-pages document should apply the master to the entire spread

Recommended Posts

When inserting a single page based on Master A before a facing-pages spread based on Master A, the new spread has the Left and Right sides of Master A applied separately resulting in duplicate left and right side master objects on both sides. The user has to fix this by re-applying the master to the spread.

I suggest that adding a single page should apply the master to the spread by default and that the Add Pages dialog could have a checkbox below Master Page named "Apply to entire spread" that would default to selected. For a facing-pages document only of course.

In this other thread I shared a test document and before and after screenshots of what happens when a single page is inserted for master text frames that have and have not been modified.
