Affinity Publisher Crashes Every Time I update the Table of Contents

As described above, literally EVERY time I have ever gone to update my table of contents, it crashes.  I have to create a whole new one, re-applying the text styles.  Does anyone else have this problem?  Is there a solution?  Multiple update have rolled out yet my system is still crashing from updating the TOC, without fail, every time.

Hi Sammy and welcome to the forums. I've never experienced this issue or seen a similar report here. Which version of Publisher are you using? Which version of Windows?

What do you mean by re-applying the text styles? Do you just mean choosing which styles to include? Because you shouldn't have to apply text styles for a TOC, and any style definition changes should still be there if you were to delete and re-insert the TOC.

Did you change any TOC settings other than the style formatting?

Is the TOC in a text frame on the document page or in a text frame on a master page layer?
