Please bear with me. PagePlus 8 issue

Hello, just hope someone can point me in the right direction. I have been using PagePlus 8 for eternity and it does what I want

However, I have a new PC and after installing Window 10 22h2 and installing PagePlus 8, something strange has happened.

If I open Pageplus 8 and make a file and save it  and close PagePlus 8 and then Open PagePlus 8 and open the file FROM PagePlus 8 is opens ok.

BUT If I double click the file on the desktop , PagePlus Opens but I get an error message that the file is corrupt ?

I have looked at the properties of the file and it seem the same as my old files.

Any Ideas.
