Photos and Linoblock printmaking

I mainly use an iPad. Sometimes a laptop.  I need a program for photo editing and storage. I also do linoblock printmaking and need a software for creating my artwork for that. 
Has anyone else been using affinity with the above? And comments.

This isn't something that I have personal experience in creating, but I can see that there is a (unfortunately paid for) 3rd party kit for creating linocut designs available online that contains various brushes, styles and assets for Designer which demonstrates what can be achieved.
