Neo
Hi, I noticed affinity designer got extremely buggy after the 2.1 update.. Refuses to see my gpu or any gpu for that matter in the settings/performance tab and doesn't load any project, even a brand new project. Pls what's the fix to this, it's literally not working. I already launched a lot of my projects or current projects with 2.1.1 when I first tested it before my pc failed, and I suspect it was cause of AF, so I had to do a reset, so I can't go back or launch these projects on 2.0.4 that works perfectly fine. Have you tried updating your GPU drivers? You can also try DDU to remove old instances of old drivers and do a clean reinstall if that does not work. This can solve a lot of GPU issues. As for the crashing, can you list your full system specs, including which OS you are using? To save time, if it's in Windows and is a true crash, you can load Event Viewer (Type it into search), check under Windows Logs > Applications (and maybe System)... look for the Affinity program crashes and it should list some module and maybe point towards which driver is causing a crash. RoSch
I wasted a whole day troubleshooting to finally get Affinity V 2.1.1 to work. Unfortunately, the reference from the Affinity forum with the .NET 4.8x framework was unsuccessful. All Affinity-programs (Photo, Designer, Publisher) seem to need the MS-Visual C++ 2015-2022 - Redistributable components, but they seem to forget to check if they are present during installation! I installed the MS VC_redist.x64.exe (2015-2022) and now Affinity V 2.1.1 is running perfectly! Maybe it may help ...........................
