2 things.. line shape & Create guide out of anything..

Recommended Posts

I've been using Affinity for close to a month now and while I do like the softwares, I gotta say.. it really lacks some very basic & simple things and you guys just have to do better...

1. Under shapes you can't even pick just a straight line.. yes, you can just use the path tool and create a line, but it isn't the same and another great reason for the line shape adds to the next point

2. In photoshop & illustrator, you can simply right click on a line shape (or any other shape), press "create guide" and that's it, a very thin and clear line, that guides anything and it's made in any direction you want (not just horizontal and vertical, obviously). This simply needs to be a features, yes.. I have found ways to work around it and use the path tool & shapes as "fake-guides", but it doesn't work as well as a guide should, in all situations.

and there's some other small things you need to add, but like.. come on guys, you clearly have the talent and skills to make great softwares & tools for it, deep dive into Adobe and start adding the most essential and useful tools to Affinity.

I won't go back to Adobe over this or other "minor" things, but it is just such basic features that you simply should have it.

I won't follow the topic, as it's not a debate, it's suggestions & I hope you take it and make it. That's that.

All the best.
